Area · Kloof & Upper HighwayBorehole drilling in Kloof.
Kloof’s large, green properties use a lot of water, and the Upper Highway feels every municipal cut. We drill, case and equip boreholes across Kloof and its neighbours, a short way up Field’s Hill from our Pinetown yard.

Boreholes in the Upper Highway
Kloof is known for big plots, indigenous bush and gorges like Krantzkloof. Gardens, pools and paddocks here need far more water than a typical suburban home, which makes a borehole one of the best investments on the property.
Steep, wooded sites are normal in Kloof. Our tracked rig is built for them, and during the site survey Kelvin plans a route in that avoids trees and structures, then uses hydro-siting to choose the spot with the best water signs.
Pair the borehole with a solar pump and your water keeps coming even when the power is off, which matters on the Upper Highway.
02
Hard rock, deep water
The Upper Highway sits largely on hard sandstone and tillite. Water here is held in cracks and fractures deep in the rock rather than near the surface, so Kloof boreholes are drilled with a DTH air percussion hammer, with steel casing driven through the weathered top layers into bedrock. It’s the ground our rigs are built for. More on how we drill.

Questions, answered
Common questions
Do you drill in Gillitts and Forest Hills?
Yes. We cover Kloof, Gillitts, Forest Hills, Everton, Winston Park, Wyebank and the rest of the Upper Highway.
Can a borehole supply a pool and a big garden?
That depends on the borehole’s yield. A yield test tells you how much water it can give each day, and we size the pump and storage to match, so you know what it can carry.
Can you drill on a steep or wooded property?
Usually, yes. Our tracked rig handles slopes, and we plan access during the survey to avoid trees and structures.
