Water flowing from a newly struck borehole

01

Homes, estates and developments

In uMhlanga we work for homeowners, body corporates, estates and commercial developments. A home borehole cuts garden and household water costs; a borehole for a complex or business keeps toilets, kitchens and landscaping going through cuts, which tenants and guests notice.

For larger sites we size the whole system: a borehole, a pump matched to its yield, and storage and booster pumps that can carry the demand.

02

Sand first, then rock

uMhlanga’s coastal ground usually starts with sand and loose overburden. We drill through it by mud rotary, which holds the walls up with drilling fluid, case it down to bedrock, then drill into the rock for the water. Near the sea, depth is managed carefully so the borehole doesn’t draw in salty water, and a water test shows whether filtration or reverse osmosis is needed.

03

Drilling in an estate

Estates around uMhlanga and Mount Edgecombe usually need HOA approval before drilling and set working hours for contractors. Get the go-ahead from your estate first and let Kelvin know the rules when you book, so the work is planned around them.

04

Areas we cover

uMhlanga Rocks, uMhlanga Ridge, La Lucia Ridge, Mount Edgecombe and Sibaya, plus Durban North to the south and Ballito up the coast.
